Remove Heavy Metals With Delicious Cilantro Pesto

Cilantro is one example of an inexpensive, common herb that exhibits unusual healing properties. Historically, herbs and spices have been used in cooking as a method to preserve foods and make them safer to store and eat. We’ve become used to them to enhance or accentuate the flavors of food, but research continues to discover herbs have much more to offer than just good taste.

For instance, the leaves of the coriander plant (cilantro) could accelerate the excretion of mercury, lead, and aluminum from the body, a process known as chelation. This was discovered accidentally when researchers noticed that mercury levels in urine increased after an individual consumed Vietnamese soup. The soup contained coriander, which is better known as cilantro.

Infections seem to hide and flourish in areas of the body where there are concentrations of heavy metals like mercury, lead, and aluminum. Somehow the organisms are able to use the toxic metals to protect themselves from medicine. When cilantro was used concurrently with natural antiviral or antibiotic agents and/or omega-3 fatty acids, infections could be eliminated for good.

Chelation therapy using chemical agents like EDTA has long been used to help remove heavy metals, but cilantro is the only natural substance that has shown this ability. Cilantro is an inexpensive, easy way to remove — or chelate — toxic metals from the nervous system and body tissues.

All it takes is adding some cilantro to your diet daily, for two or three weeks. Add a handful of fresh cilantro to a salad, mix a couple of teaspoons of cilantro pesto with whole wheat pasta, spread the pesto on toasted Italian bread, or have it with your favorite fish (good in soups).

Heavy metal poisoning is wide-spread. It is a major cause of hormonal imbalances, cancer, thyroid problems, neurological disturbances, learning problems, depression, blood pressure problems, premature aging, food allergies, parasites, and much more. Here is a great recipe that is not only easy to make but also really yummy, and it helps you to remove heavy metals from the body! Whether you need to detoxify heavy metals from your body or just want to use it as a preventative measure, 2 teaspoons a day is all you need to take. Consider doing this cleanse for three weeks at least once a year. The pesto is delicious on toast, baked potatoes, and pasta. It’s so good you will find ways to incorporate it into your diet.

Cilantro Pesto

1 – 2 garlic cloves

Add raw pine nuts or raw sunflowers seeds

1 cup packed fresh cilantro leaves some fresh parsley (optional)

1 jalapeno pepper or chili pepper/powder

2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice

6 tablespoons olive oil (1st press, cold press, extra virgin)

1/4 spoon cumin

Sea salt & ground pepper to taste

Process the cilantro and olive oil in blender until the cilantro is chopped. Add the other ingredients and process to a lumpy paste. (You may have to add a touch of hot water and scrape the sides of the blender.) It freezes well, so you can make several batches at once.
